My father built this nursing home and it was Traylor nursing home till he sold it. I practically lived there growing up. Great memories at this nursing home.

UPDATE-My husband passed away at Lafayette Nursing Home last month. I am just so very thankful for the care they gave him the last year of his life. Lafayette Nursing Home isn't a high dollar, affluent place. But, it is clean and neat, everyone is friendly, and everyone treats the patients and family with respect and dignity. It was my husband's Home away from home for 13 months.

My husband has been at Lafayette Nursing Home for 6 months. I wish he could still be home but they are taking good care of him. They are friendly, kind and always helpful with any questions or problems that come up.

By far the worst of them all. Wasted Medicare getting a chest X-ray then allegedly they never obtained some medical docs, yet suddenly Administration decided they can't take my Mom & they don't have to tell me why!! Oh, and I had to virtually stalk admissions to find that out. No empathy, concern, advice, guidance, or care in the world. Been working on securing a suitable nursing home for my 83 y/o Mama since Nov 2023 unbeknownst of how excruciatingly difficult it would be. Lies, deception, shady info/advice, no communication, and straight ghosting me. Never in a million yrs did I think putting your loved one in a safe environment w/trained professionals to properly care for them would be a cold and dark nightmare. Forget short staffed and/or unavailability, they simply don't care. Straight ice in their veins. Absolutely heartbreaking to realize this is the state of healthcare. Nobody gives a damn about our elders. This place was the worst of them all that I tried. Perhaps if I had money it would've been a different story. No humanity whatsoever. Ms Brown (admissions) & crew, pray your loved one's never in my shoes when you get older and have to feel how this facility & all the others treated me/made me feel in my time of need. Absolutely disgusting.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
What to do next
Data is a starting point, not a final answer. We encourage families to visit facilities in person, observe daily routines, and speak with staff and residents. See our guide: Questions to Ask When Visiting →
