Was very comfortable with the arrangements. Was happy with Therapy I received. They were excellent. Kaylan the nurse was so helpful and made my stay pleasant. Kaylan went out of her way to answer my questions and make me comfortable. Charity was my main CNA on 3 to 11 shift. She always had a smile and always had positive words of encouragement. Tameko 3 to 11 nurse was also very kind and also always had words of encouragement.

My mother, Joan Bogdan fell in August 2025 and fractured her neck, a C-2 C-3 injury. She is 85 years old. She spent a month in the Mobile Infirmary and could not walk. We came to Gulf Coast rehabilitation mid September and she still was not walking. Shout out to the incredible over the top staff at Gulf Coast, Especially Jessica the head of Therapy dept, Lane, who had her walking in a week and Lily, who did wonderful speech therapy with her, And SPECIAL SHOUT out to Nurse Kaylan Bradley who helped us get set up with a pure wick, which helped with her healing, and also to Charity Reneau who did the hard stuff like get her in to the bathroom as often as possible! All those little things that each of you did every day made a difference!! Mom was there for 24 days and she’s now home walking and beginning to lead a productive life again. I can’t thank you enough!!!!!! With gratitude, Despina Koulianos

The care team was phenomenal as soon as my mother arrived to the facility. My Mom had a torn acl and medial meniscus tear, so considered bed-bound. My mother's mobility became better all because of her determination, faith, and great pt; medical assistants, nurses, as well as entire Gulf Coast Rehabilitation family. They really became family to us and I appreciate the compassion.

My husband and I appreciate all of the staff at Gulf Coast Health and Rehabilitation. They do an amazing job of keeping their patients satisfied. Upon entering, you are immediately greeted by friendly personnel who are more than happy to assist you. After your identity is recorded, you are allowed through locked doors, a great safety feature. As you head to visit your relative, or friend, etc, you may want to note the cheerful decorations, the lists of current activities and meals, and more. One of the most important things we always notice is how clean the facility is kept. The majority of the staff is caring and kind, which I consider astounding as they are not the best paid State employees! Yes, we are truly grateful for Gulf Health and Rehabilitation.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
