Communication is “spotty” at best. The front desk often transfers me to the wrong person. Very difficult to get through to the person with whom you need to speak. Sweet people who work there, but there are many CNA’s that honestly, stay on their cell phones rather than see about patients’ cleanliness and welfare. I have had to address numerous concerns about my mother’s linens, her hygiene, the cleanliness of her room, and her medicines. Nurses often do not return calls and it could be because of the sheer number of patients. The memory unit is packed to the brim and needs additional space for residents as well as dementia therapy. Dementia training needs to be given and/or addressed with CNA’s, social workers, etc. Asking my mother to “not forget” she has an appt of some sort, or asking me in front of my mother, “what are your end of life plans” is inappropriate. There are truly some caring, hard working individuals at Crowne, but communication, training, someone to oversee CNA’s, and effective dementia therapy all need to be immediately addressed by its director.

I am POA for my uncle. In 2023 he was in the hospital, he needed a nursing home facility with a great wound care team. A nurse at Baptist Hospital South recommended Montgomery Crowne to me. He was already in Greenville Crowne so I transferred him. Believe me when I say their wound care nursing team is phenomenal. My uncle is diabetic, therefore, his wound was very severe. Additionally, he wasn’t always the best patient, but their patience was exemplary. In addition, his floor staff (nurses, cnas, etc.) are awesome, too. I’ve had some concerns which have been immediately addressed. The atmosphere of the facility is warm & welcoming. Ms. Sherry at the front desk greets you with a smile even in the midst of chaos- Dr. Andrain Y. Jones

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
