Mae Knight administrative assistant is so helpful and kind. She handles all the insurance paperwork in her office. I’m so grateful to this place taking care of my mama. Make and all the staff members always greet you with smile and very understanding and kind to us. Taking care of sick parent is not easy. Because of the people like Mae Knigh this place runs smooth and easy. Thank you so much miss Mae!

Been a patient over 2 years,..place has never been worse,..no social worker!!?,... skeleton crew .overnight,..feel sorry for the great over-worked under-paid nurses,... administrator just states things "defensive" not "constructive".

Editing /updating to ensure this original review is directed at admin and staff from 2015 to 2017. Admin after that time were terrible and incompetent, and found to have lied in order not to have a bed for my mom upon her return from a hospital stay. She passed away in 2018, exhausted by their shenanigans! My mom has been living at Marina Pointe on their sub-acute side since sometime in February. It has been a rough road, both in her condition and in the help the facility has provided. The facility itself is well-maintained and easily accessible. The 3hr visitor parking has made parking less of a hassle. The design is updated and it's always clean, with the exception of overflowing bathroom trashcans on the weekends. I feel like the facility has grown with us and my mom's needs despite the occasional complaint of staff - some serious enough to remove them from my mom's care. The administration takes an active role in making sure my mom's needs are met and treats even the minor complaints with seriousness. I appreciate the leadership in wanting their facility to be a safe and caring place for people to recover from serious illnesses. The one continuous complaint I have - and why I gave only 4 stars - is with staffing. Among the many competent and caring folks (CNAs, Respiratory Therapists, and Physical Therapists) that our family trusts with my mom's care, there are those who I wish would have chosen another profession. When I win the lotto, Marina Pointe is at the top of the list for a nice sum of money to help make it a place that will attract the best care-givers in the city who will be rewarded for doing more than just their job. That is if the admin that was there when my mom was there are all gone!

I’m very happy with the services. They took amazing care of my grandmother, and she was very happy. The nurses were kind and attentive, always making sure she was well cared for. I highly recommend this place. The supervisor I was in contact with, Josie, is very professional and always made sure everything was running smoothly. It gave our family peace of mind knowing my grandmother was in such good hands. We’re truly grateful for the kindness and dedication of the entire staff.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
