You always hear bad stories about nursing facilities, but there is nothing bad at Avalon. This is a nursing facility that has thought of everything good for their guests and applied it. I have 360 units of college in Manpower Management and Group Psychology. This center has applied everything that I studied. There is a guest council meeting with the activity director and the social services director, and management takes notes to address any issue that the client wants changed. There are group activities. For Thanksgiving they served a candle light dinner, and hired a local singer who was good. The facility is immaculate. I have been in a few hospitals over the past 3 years and this place is the cleanest. The food is great, and they switch it up and provide a variety with fruit, and vegetables. The staff is responsive, and the care assistants really care about us. My favorite C&A from Nigeria is Adora who goes out of her way checking up on me and my roommate

During my stay here, the nurses were nice. Sometimes I would ask for a sandwich because I get hungry at night and they would always get it for me, sometimes I wouldn't even have to ask. The people who cleaned my room came every day and made sure my room was clean. The physical therapy team especially Anna was very helpful. When I came here it was hard for me to walk and now I can walk a lot better.
