My mom was placed at Mayward acresfor rehab services. The very first day on her arrival one of the nurse or cna just pulled the pad under her out extremely rough. My mom became very upset. She had broken her hip and surgery is not an option. She is 86
When I said something to the woman she looked at me and told me that she knows her job. Was very rude. Ended up filing 3 complaints during her 25 day stay. We are still missing items from there. Her favorite pillow and a brand new sweat outfit. I did Mark her initials on it. Things of hers kept getting roster misplaced, and then they would find them and apologize for it. So I wanted to see if the new outfit, would be there where I came to pick up the rest of her property and of course it wasn't. It even had the price tags on it. I let them know twice.Someone called me back and told me they couldn't anything. And after doing research, maywood was one of the better nursing home extended care facilities in Oxnard. I do have to say many of the staff were friendly. There were a couple of bad ones. It's said that my 86 yr old mother called me in tears abt one person who yelled at her. That was one of the other complaints.I filed

My Mom was here for 2 months, unable to walk on her own and in need of assistance. This place seemed great until my mom started complaining about a CNA named NIYELLI neglecting her and ignoring her call light. My mom is often left soiled for hours (NO EXAGGERATION) It would be common for her to not see NIYELLI for hours until she said it was time to sleep. I WOULD NEVER EVER TAKE MY PARENTS HERE. DONT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT INHUMANE TREATMENT AND NO COMMUNICATION.

Our mother was under care with Maywood unable to walk when she was admitted. Maywood PT/OT with Erin was done and amazingly our mother regained her strength back and able to stand and walk again with assistance!!! Erin and helpers were outstanding!!!!! After a month our family had to decide her home care needs outside of Maywood. Virginia was so helpful and gathered information for our family for the next step for our mother’s home care. Virgina and Angelina were wonderful and very compassionate. Our family reached a decision for our mother to go to Grannys Board and Care where Celeste the owner was so wonderful welcoming our mother to her new home. Our mother is adjusting well and is so nice to have such a peace of mind that our mother is getting such wonderful care. So if anyone is looking for skilled care our family highly recommends Maywood for their cleanliness, organization and their compassion and wonderful nurses they have given for our mother. Our family truly feels blessed.

This place does nothing to help your loved one. They wheel them around to different rooms saying they are going to PT, but they do nothing but sit there. When delivering food, if your loved one can't eat what they are serving (due to dietary needs), your family member just doesn't eat that day. This is a sad excuse for a healthcare home, DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!!!

I want to thank all personnel that help me during my rehabilitation stay. I broke my ankle and all staff went above and beyond to help me. My special thanks to Ms. Virginia Aspuria, in Social Services. She went the extra mile to see that I was helped with all the admin that this type of injury carry.
The facility is set up to service people according to health requirements. Not the best place for sleeping, but I guess that was the only downside and it exists because the facility complies with codes. The rest is in place. Food is very good sometimes and so so another times. Overall is a well oiled machine. Thank you.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
