I have been here before. I love it here. The workers are all very caring and helpful during my recovery. Every nurse and staff member knows be by my name, and it feels great.

I go agree with the negative reviews. Fake 5 stars This place doesn't deserve even 1 stars. I wish it was an option to give zero stars. Urgent Call for Advocacy – My Experience at Brighton Care Center (0 Stars) To all families considering a skilled nursing facility, please read this carefully and advocate fiercely for your loved ones. Our family's biggest mistake was not being fully prepared when our dear mom was admitted to Brighton Care Center in January 2025. This was our first experience with a skilled nursing facility, and I've learned invaluable, hard lessons since. Before Admission: Do Your Homework! * Schedule a Tour: Always call ahead and schedule a tour appointment before admission. Have a list of questions ready. * Prepare Your Questions: Ask about staff-to-resident ratios, specific care protocols for your loved one's condition, visitation policies, and what to expect regarding communication. During Their Stay: Be Present and Ask Questions! * Make Unannounced Visits: Visit at different, unannounced times of day and night. Observe, check on your loved one, and interact with staff. * Demand Transparency: Don't hesitate to ask questions, even if you feel you're being a nuisance. Their well-being depends on it. Our Horrific Experience at Brighton Care Center: Our mom was transferred to Brighton Care Center from Huntington Hospital after suffering a mini-stroke. On Thursday morning, January 30, 2025, we received a distressing call about an "incident." When I arrived, her entire front eye was severely swollen, and there was a clear laceration cut along her right eyebrow. I immediately asked my mom what happened, specifically if a staff member was involved. When I tried to speak to the nurse, I could barely understand him due to a significant stutter. He vaguely stated there had been "an incident" and confirmed her eye was swollen and cut. His response was completely unsatisfactory and lacked any detail. Later, another family member visited and observed the same shocking injuries, confirming our deep concern. This family member also spoke to the same stuttering nurse, who astonishingly responded, "I don't know" when asked what happened. This is unacceptable! If a nurse "doesn't know" about a significant injury to a resident under their care, what does that say about the facility's oversight and incident reporting? We firmly believe she did not inflict these injuries upon herself. Thankfully, our family member insisted on speaking to a doctor, who frankly advised us to "get her out of Brighton Care Center." We are so grateful our dear mom was transported back to Huntington Hospital. We advocated tirelessly to ensure she would not be returned to Brighton Care Center. Our family are glad our mom was transfer to a facility in Glendora with caring, professional staff. We don't recommend Brighton Care Center.

I volunteered with Family Clinics years ago, and one of the facilties I visited was Brighton Care Center in Pasadena. Now I am a resident at this Facility. I am very happy with the Rehab department. They have been helping me recover from a fall, and I am recovering very well. Thank you to Jon, Christian and all the rehab staff for their amazing care and dedication to my recovery.

My grandfather received physical therapy at Brighton Care Facility in Pasadena, and I can’t say enough wonderful things about his therapist, Mark Tavera. From the very beginning, Mark not only worked diligently with my grandfather on his recovery, but he also showed an incredible amount of compassion, kindness, and empathy. There were moments when my grandfather was feeling down, but Mark always found a way to lift his spirits and keep him motivated. His encouragement and genuine care made a huge difference in my grandfather’s healing journey. Mark treated him as more than just a patient—he treated him like family. We are so grateful for the progress my grandfather has made, but even more grateful for the positivity and support Mark provided along the way. He is truly an amazing person and therapist, and Brighton Care Facility is very lucky to have him on their team.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
