The staff has been wonderful. From housekeeping/nursing/and also the doctor Murdoch. One nurse I became very fond of her name is Mary Anna, she's absolutely wonderful compassionate and great bedside manners. This administrative staff has also been great. and the physical therapist and occupational therapist top shelf. Of course being in the facility has some challenges which is to be expected. By facing them with a happy disposition they're easy to overcome. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone coming out of a hospital setting. Needing more advanced nursing care. Mission Park here in Santa Barbara California definitely is the place to go. Thank you very much. Good luck to all recovery. Rose

Our mother was recently moved into Mission Park, and so far, we've had a great experience. The facility is clean, safe, and well cared for, and the staff have been incredibly friendly and welcoming. One small but meaningful gesture that really stood out was the hamburger BBQ they hosted outside in the garden - it was such a kind and thoughtful way to bring everyone together and make the residents and families feel at home. Quinn was the name of the gentleman cooking and serving, and he was very gracious. Events like that show they truly care about building community. Putting a parent in this next level of care, never feels good, but I'm grateful she's in good hands.

In April I was transferred to Mission Park Healthcare after being in Cottage ICU. I had no idea what to expect. I was greeted by a wonderful young lady named River. She checked me in and gave me a brief explanation of what was going to happen. From that moment everyone that I encountered and attended to my needs were the most compassionate and caring people. Three shifts cover 24 hour care, I never saw anyone who didn't have a smile. CNA's were always ready to help . All staff from every department were always pleasant and listened to me and answered my questions. I was very fortunate to have 2 wonderful roommates. The bottom line, Mission Park is the very best. It is clean, great food, fun activities if you care to participate and a fantastic team of Physical and Occupational therapists. The floor and office staff are absolutely ๐ฏ the best.

My father took a fall in the beginning of January. He is 91 years old and has a hairline fracture in his spine. After spending 3 days at Cottage, was sent to Mission Park. The initial baseline meeting was done via phone as I am 65 miles away. The PT never showed so who knows what was done. Dad was there 3 weeks with no communication and sent back to his assisted living facility with no discharge meeting with me. He was sent home with a terrible cough. Within 24 hours, he was back at Cottage with 2 viruses and pneumonia of which he caught at Mission Park. This time he spent 6 days at Cottage and could not walk again. Sent back to Mission Park after I was asked by administrator to give them a second chance. Stupid ME! Even WORSE the second go around. Pressed call button, no one showed numerous times. I was told by a nurse that he couldn't help because it wasn't his patient. Dad was put in isolation overnight because he vomited. Woke up to a strange environment and didn't know why. He was dressed and put in a wheelchair for over an hour with no one to help him. My husband and I had to put him in bed ourselves. I had the nurse from his assisted care facility come over and assess him. She evaluated him and let Mission know they'd pick him up by noon on Friday. Once again, I was never called by Mission. Never given a discharge meeting, never given the baseline meeting information in writing, no updates on his care, and no paperwork for his discharge. We visited once even twice a week a couple of times and never met a nurse or physical therapist. Everyone was hands off. Because of these 2 lovely stays my Dad is worse off then he was in the hospital! I pray that at 91 we can get him back. Now think of all the old folks that do not have an advocate to take care of them. Shame on Mission Park!

My father was not very happy here. The pureed meals were unpalatable, the rooms were too warm, and there was a lack of immediate follow-through from the nurses for as simple of requests as getting him a fan or a urinal. Additionally, he was allowed discharge against medical advice to another family member of ours without informing me, as the emergency contact. The other family member claimed he was available for necessary care-taking and that the woman who transported them was a caregiver. Both of those things were not true, and Mission Park did nothing to verify these claims and ensure my father's safety. Cottage hospital said that this man, under no circumstances, should be home alone, and rightfully kept him from leaving their facility. Now, out of Mission Park, he is home alone and isolated with zero oversight. I thought I had selected the best SNF after his hospital stay, but clearly I was wrong
