Marissa answered my call and was extremely polite. Looking forward to working together.

SO rehab was a fantastic facility. The priority is care and they were phenomenal with my mother-in-law. My MIL had impaired mental capacity due to an UTI but they made sure she was monitored and provided her with the best of care possible.

This place does not care about the patient and they neglect to clean the patient. They only care about their employees’ affairs.

BEWARE OF SHERMAN OAKS HEALTH AND REHAB! I suppose OK for healing bones and PT, BUT NOT a place for sick people. My husband was there for about two weeks+ and got progressively worse, including his delirium. The site doctor whose care he was supposed to be under never saw him, NOT ONCE, and refused to call me. When I complained, a new site doc was assigned; he visited once and did not examine my husband.

My husband was losing control of swallowing and was never provided an appropriate diet, even after I requested it. I later discovered he had developed aspiration pneumonia WHICH WAS NEVER ADDRESSED. When I insisted that he be transferred to a hospital, the nurse said she would consult the doctor. Consult?? When I threatened to call 911, doctor authorized transport. When we arrived at ER, I was told that he was VERY sick and that he would have died had he stayed there.

Here’s another kicker, Fortunately, we would not have stayed anyway, but Sherman Oaks Health and Rehab mislead Medicare about my husband’s ability to function and Medicare denied further stay!! He was delirious, could not walk, could not talk coherently, could not eat and died in the hospital 3 weeks later. BEWARE!

P.S. Public areas ok, but the 2 patient rooms we occupied looked like something out of a flophouse.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
What to do next
Data is a starting point, not a final answer. We encourage families to visit facilities in person, observe daily routines, and speak with staff and residents. See our guide: Questions to Ask When Visiting →
