Don’t waste your time!!! The place looks nice like FAKE (AI) picture , the staff and care is horrible!!! My grandmother was there for a short time u til I removed her. I was worried every single moment she was there because they didn’t have anything right, the medication was wrong, they left her in her room for hours with no assistance. My grandmother couldn’t walk she could barely talk and couldn’t feed herself. She needed MORE and they couldn’t provide that for her. She would ring the bell and NO ONE came until I called the front desk asking to go and help her. The only good thing about that place was the speech therapist Kathleen and that woman deserves a raise!

Three months ago I became gravely ill due to my lupus and had I to spend a month in Shadelands to regain my strength to prepare for a upcoming surgery in November. I was very apprehensive about going into a skilled care facility, post acute, "aka" nursing home. Shadelands is in a class of its own. I never once felt like I was a patient. I felt like a guest at a resort. The entire staff and I mean the entire staff are very caring and attentive. The nursing staff is very detailed oriented especially when giving your medication, they tell which medication they are giving you each time also upon admission you are given a printed list of the medication with the dosage you be receiving to for you to review for accuracy to go over with the medical doctor who is the best Dr. Tiffany King. Your assigned CNAs consistently checks in to see if you need anything from assistance with bathing making up your bed, bring your meals to room or dining in the common area, whether if your water needed to be refilled or just to say hello. Management checks in religiously every morning to make sure everything is to your satisfaction. The facility is maintained to a pristine condition. The Physical and Occupational Therapy Staff are outstanding and very patient and encouraging in getting you to your recovery goal. The dietary menu is excellent which includes additional options to chose from with an added plus to purchase meals for your guest to dine with you. Additionally, there is activities coordinator that schedules a variety of daily activities including weekly musical entertainment as coordinated weekly spiritual services with communion on Sunday. The Activities Coordinator can also arrange for beauty services from hair services including manicure/pedicure. The large private en-suite rooms with private bathrooms with Direct TV are definitely also a major plus. Furthermore, daily housekeeping and janitorial services are present throughout day. As I am writing this review I had my surgery and now I am back for my long recovery and I consider Shadeland's staff my family and they welcomed me back with open arms and that's important. I trust Shadelands with my life when it comes to my medical care in particular because I also have so many underlying critical conditions besides lupus that I I trust wholeheartedly that Shadelands are beyond qualified with there premier medical staff to handle my care that's why I returned to continue to my long-term recovery. Currently, I am a lupus advocate, a spokesperson for a major pharmaceutical company and a retired publicist having worked with some of the countries top celebrities and many of my former clients have gone to post acute facilities for various reasons. Since seeking aftercare at Shadelands I consider it one of the countries best post acute facilities that I have experienced both professionally and personally. I would highly recommend Shadelands as the preferred post acute facility to seek rehabilitation in California especially in Northern California. This facility deserves an infinite amount of stars. Shadelands should be the blueprint on how post acute should be modeled afterwards.

I’ve been fighting for 13 days trying to get the medications for my patient that supposedly were called into the pharmacy the day before he left. I’ve made over 20 calls and told ten times they were in the pharmacy. Still nothing there. I have never seen such incompetence and I would never use this facility. They can’t even call you back when they tell you they will even though the medications are crucial to get.

I came to Shadelands Post acute on May 27 and discharged July 18,2025. I had a pelvic fracture which required an external fixator which staff at the facility had never seen before. It required regular attention with cleaning the posts. JJ was the wound nurse that worked diligently with me even when I ran into complications with it. Helped me through a lot. I can’t say enough about the care I received here. From the kitchen, nursing staff , prompt response from the cnas, activities with fantastic musician Cesar!! Arcel the activity director was exceptional, full of fun and energy! And brought me ice tea everyday! The OT/ Pt Dept was wonderful.. gave me challenges that I didn’t even know I could do! They enabled me to walk out on discharge without even a cane! Such a recovery! Can’t thank them enough! The maintenance people kept the place spotless. Best of all I had Room 24 .. the best room in the place since it had a door to the inner courtyard and I could sit there through the day and enjoy the sunshine ..was perfect for my healing. Thank you Shadelands post acute fir such a great experience and recovery!

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
