Missed meds and doses. No response to med change requests for almost a week. Scheduled 1 staff to pull meds that they require 2 trained staff for resulting in waiting hours extra for treatment. - I'm not sure if it's abuse or just plain neglect, but I could not in good faith recommend going to this facility. Addressing the problems with management, they repeatedly apologized for my feelings - versus the cause of the feelings which was their facility and lack of competent care or staff.<br><br>They also did not communicate properly with the hospice providers to figure out who was actually responsible for various items for the patient/s involved - although they did have a meeting today almost 2 weeks later. Maybe they're trying to improve but it's too little, too late.<br><br>All in all, a handful of exceptional staff but it's a trainwreck at the top. Wouldn't put a family member in there, maybe my worst enemy, but they probably don't deserve that kind of treatment either.

Oaklawn is such a welcoming atmosphere. The staff continue to go out of their way to support their residents in every way possible. The team works hard and continues to communicate open and honest!
