My mom broke her hip. After her surgery and hospital stay, we needed to find a transitional care place for her to do her rehabilitation before going back home. We chose Ecumen in North Branch and we were so glad we did!

The staff were kind, compassionate and stayed on top of mom's care. My mom actually had a fall while staying there and the clinical director immediately called to let us know what happened. We chose to have an ambulance come and take her to the hospital for thorough examination. Thankfully everything was fine due to the quick response of the clinical director.

The best part of Ecumen North Branch for our family was the SENSE OF COMMUNITY they provided. Everyone was talking together at meal times. Staff stopped to talk to clients regularly and seemed to genuinely care about how their day was going. Staff even offered us coffee and showed us where the treat baskets were. It felt like a big family and I think this is so critical when clients and family are feeling discouraged, depressed and displaced. A moment of care goes a long way! We had someone in the family stop in every day to check on mom. We were never disappointed with the care she received during her stay.

Thank you Ecumen North Branch for getting all of us through a very difficult time of transition. We would choose you again in a heartbeat!

Great place. Clean, quiet, and a staff that cares deeply about their residents.

My mother died at Ecumen.
She laid in a soiled diaper all night long as night staff refused to change her as she was dying. She was in a sweatshirt top with no pants. This was her first day going through the death process. If you think this is bad, my mom endured more at the hands of abusive staff members in memory care. There are so many wonderful facilities throughout Minnesota. Do your do diligence before surrendering a loved one to a facility that is continuously short staffed due to a hostile environment.
My mother deserved so much more at her end of life. I will always have regrets for not pulling her out of this facility.

If I could give zero, I would. Firing your staffs for the dumbest reasons and not hearing them out is crazy don't y'all think? Pathetic

Incompetent nurses and aides. The nurse is lazy and don’t care that a resident who is fall risk light is on. She completely ignored it. I addressed it with her and she had an attitude. This was TCU. Beware this is the service you will receive.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
