My father was a resident at this facility in 2021. While a resident there he had dental insurance that was paid through his monthly bill. My father requested that this dental insurance be cancelled in March or April of 2022. Rae, the office person assured us she would cancel it. My father went to a new facility in August of 2022 and he received a final bill for his care from Monroe City Manor. This bill included three months of dental insurance. Someone failed to do their job and cancel this when asked. Several letters including a certified letter was sent stating he was not paying for something he did not want and the home failed to cancel. No one seems to be addressing this issue and they continue to send a bill. The letters have recently been "returned to sender" as they refuse to address the issue. Now he is receiving telephone calls in regards to this bill. Watch your nursing home bills and always follow through with your disputes. He is not paying for this because someone failed to do their job. This is Monroe City Manor's debt, not his

The third shift (overnight) employees at Monroe City Manor Care Center have been ignoring calls for help from the residents. My grandmother is a current resident and can not get up to use the restroom or get a drink by herself. She has total continence and does not need nor should she be expected to wear a diaper. She has complained for days now. Her and I are both afraid that if I call to ask them to please do better and be more thorough that they will treat her worse or neglect her more. She claims that some of the staff is very rude to her. She has always been the most honest and understanding person that I know. They are advertising their 5 star rating currently to attract more people in need of help when they clearly do not have proper staff to care for each of the current residents living there. Please fix this immediately.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
