My dad went to this facility for physical therapy. Based on the reviews the family read we were excited to get him into a facility that would care for him but sadly that’s not what we received . My dad went in laughing and talking and left to go to the emergency room at the family request with a blood sugar of 400+( yes he’s diabetic and could of went into a diabetic coma) the nurses on the 4th floor didn’t care about how he looked , their biggest concern was gathering at the front desk gossiping . At the ER old food was scooped out his mouth and had a foul odor which let us know he had the food in his mouth for at least a day and could have choked. This facility doesn’t deserve the name King David , it’s more like Goliath and the Philistines. It’s sad that you entrust the care of your elderly family members to facilities that employ individuals that are focused on a place to lounge and collect a check rather than do the job they signed up for . Please King David do better for the patients that are still at your facility. Keep in mind we will all get old eventually and will need assistance at times , you may not end up at a facility but you would want compassion and care from those who are looking out for you , be kind to those who are entrusted to your care.

In September 2025, my father walked, talked, sang, and danced. After a hospital stay, he was transferred to King David for rehabilitation to help him walk again. I had high hopes for this facility after reading positive reviews. My father, who has dementia, was sent to King David for rehabilitation. When he arrived, he was not walking, and unfortunately, when he left, he still could not walk and was in worse condition than when he initially arrived. After his stay, he could barely speak, had lost over 20 pounds, was severely dehydrated, and appeared emotionally and physically broken. Because of his dementia, my father was entirely reliant on the medical staff for his meals, fluids, and general care. He could not feed himself or communicate when something was wrong, as he was not speaking. This made it even more critical that the staff provide attentive and timely care. The most painful memory I will always carry is the day we visited him and found him in the worst condition I had ever seen. He looked extremely weak, frail, and ill. His blood sugar was 475, and despite how alarming that was, we did not see a sense of urgency from the staff at that time. As a family, we were deeply concerned for his safety. During our visit, I noticed what I initially thought might be blood in my father’s mouth. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be dried food stuck on his tooth. I am not sure how many hours or days it had been there, but it was alarming and prompted me to insist that the ER doctor examine his mouth. Upon checking, the ER doctor discovered and removed food from his mouth, which I personally witnessed. I have photos of this, which I am attaching to this review for context. In my attempts to transfer my father from King David to another facility, I found the social work team and nursing supervisors largely unhelpful. The social work team essentially expected me to handle much of the process myself. Three photos are attached for context: one showing my father before entering King David, one from the day he was taken to the emergency room, and one from the hospital while an ER physician was removing food from his mouth that was left by a medical personnel at King David. Seeing these images side by side reflects the drastic decline in his condition during this period. I will always regret placing my father in King David’s care. But I share this so that others can make informed decisions. No family should ever have to experience what we did. Rehabilitation is meant to help people heal and regain strength. In my experience, my father’s condition declined during his stay. Our elderly deserve dignity, careful attention, and compassion. Families deserve transparency. I hope this encourages meaningful improvements in how patients are cared for.

My mother is currently staying at this short-term rehab, and our family has been very grateful for the care she has received. One standout feature is the facility’s dedicated Chinese-speaking team, which has made communication smooth and reassuring for both patients and families. The facility also places great emphasis on cultural comfort. They thoughtfully organize Chinese cultural activities, including concerts with popular Cantonese and Mandarin songs, holiday celebrations and provide daily Chinese newspapers, all of which help residents feel connected and at home. Combined with attentive, professional care, this supportive and culturally inclusive environment has made a meaningful difference in my mother’s recovery. We highly recommend this facility to families seeking quality rehabilitation with strong cultural understanding.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
