  I contacted this office to schedule an appointment as a new patient. After being placed on hold to speak with an admissions representative, the call was disconnected immediately after I stated that I wanted to schedule a new patient appointment.<br>I called back to explain that my call had been disconnected. Instead of addressing the issue, the staff member became argumentative, insisting that the call had not been dropped and stating that they did not have control over the phone service. I explained that I had been actively speaking when the call ended, but the staff member continued to argue rather than assist.<br>Due to the unprofessional interaction and lack of support, I expressed concern about how patients may be treated if this is the experience during the initial scheduling process. Ultimately, I chose to seek services elsewhere, where I was assisted appropriately.<br>This interaction created a very poor first impression of the office.

  My family member has been at this facility for some time, and while things started off well, the last six months have brought a noticeable and concerning decline. I’ve made regular visits, and during those visits, I’ve witnessed multiple issues that are unacceptable for a care facility.<br><br>One of the most distressing concerns is how long residents, including my relative’s roommate, are left waiting to be changed. There have been times when the smell in the room was overwhelming due to delays in basic care. This speaks to a lack of timely attention and compassion.<br><br>Another major issue is the complete absence of meaningful activities. In the past, they offered programs that kept residents mentally and socially engaged, which was one of the key reasons we chose this facility. Recent outings have been restricted to the facility’s patio. While I’m able to take my relative out beyond the building, I’m concerned about the other residents who don’t have family to do the same. Now, all of that has been discontinued. Even when the weather is nice, residents are rarely taken outside. There are no longer any trips outside the facility—not even short outings to a nearby park or strolls in wheelchairs. The most residents get now is a few minutes outside on the patio, if that. It feels more like confinement than care. I’ve spoken with other families during visits, and many share the same frustrations. It’s especially disheartening because the programs and environment were part of what originally led us to choose this facility.<br><br>The food, while kosher, is not well-prepared and leaves much to be desired. It wouldn’t take much to make improvements here with more thoughtful menu planning.<br><br>Perhaps most troubling is the behavior of some of the nursing staff. I've witnessed rude interactions, yelling, and dismissive attitudes toward both residents and family members. I understand from speaking with a staff member that they are short-staffed, but that should not translate into poor treatment of the people they are supposed to care for.<br><br>This is a place where people are supposed to feel safe and respected in the later stages of life.
