There are some variables in my situation that are unclear. However what is clear to me is that my dad was put into the facility as my step sister could no longer care for him on her own. She actually works at the facility and as far as our dad has stated, is that she does not visit him. His memory is bad but I don't think it's that bad.
It took me 4 days of calling at different times of the day to even get through to the nurses station.
One nurse had me call my dad's room while she was in it and even she said that with the phone turned all of the way up, she couldn't hear it.
One employee, Derrick, is very good about going to my dad's room to have him call me or dial the phone for him.
Other than that my dad complains that the shared bathroom is often locked so he can not get in, the food is horrible and no one talks to him.
I am in Maine and doing what I can to get him out of there and closer to me. The hold up is that I do not have power of attorney over him. My step sister, who works there and will not communicate with me has POA.
The people at Stanly Manor won't do anything to help. Not that they could do much but the fact that they have hired a person with no compassion is beyond me.

I want to leave a review for Tavin because he was an amazing CNA to my uncle before he passed. It’s honestly sad that a male CNA cared more than a lot of the female staff, but Tavin really stood out. He showed my uncle and our whole family so much care and respect. He checked on us at least every hour and made sure we were okay during such a hard time.
He’s a great young man with a good heart, and we truly appreciate everything he did.

As a visitor walking in and not having been in here in a few years to visit patient I was immediately aghast at the awful smell of urine in fecal material while trying to just get to the patient's room. Then when in the patient's room how dirty and cluttered it was trash had not been emptied the surfaces were sticky and gummy with food residue y'all should be ashamed to let those poor patients have to smell that foul odor and not be able to pick up their glasses without something sticky being on the tables. The lady in the bed next to the patient I saw had been saying to me the whole time I was in there that she had had a bowel movement and had been sitting in it for over 2 hours that her bottom hurt. I understand you can't be in every room 24/7...365 but that's ridiculous . I only saw three staff people the whole 30 minutes I was in the facility and then I saw at least 5 administrative people just sitting in the front offices. Now I know it's not administrative Personnel who take care of the patients but that's up to the nursing staff. But walking by patient's rooms and hearing them begging for someone to come in and to help them when lady in the room across the hall said she was sick on her stomach and had been hungry with nobody to come and help her.
I wouldn't board my dog in this location. This place needs some serious cleaning and more staff to take care of these patients. I see all of these good reviews but I didn't see anything positive. I took personal photos of the bags of waste in the hallway and sticky tables and how her nightstand was sticky and gummy and full of trash. That the trash can had vomit in it. But I don't think it's appropriate to post those photos because it has the patience name and because of HIPAA I would not want to embarrass her for the situation that she's been placed in and basically has no control over. But I will be in contact with the health department to show them the photos. Please be wary of just having your family and loved ones left in a place that doesn't seem to care. The walking down the hallway and looking into other rooms they all kind of look the same. I hope this message gets back to Atrium and they can go in and correct this problem and help these poor folks because taking that amount of money from someone and leaving them filthy, dirty not taking care of to me in my eyes is elder abuse.

I was in this facility for a broken leg ( rehab) absolutely impossible for me to say anything negative about anyone here. Everyone treated me with respect and kindness. Even the food and especially the cookies were delicious. My team for rehab were outstanding and I really learned a lot. My room was cleaned every day .The many nurses and assistants made sure I was getting my medicine on time and anything else I needed. Even the office staff were there when I needed a question answered. The doctors checked on me regularly and made any changes I needed. Thank you all so very much making this difficult time for me a lot better. Jimmy 🙂

My Dad recently had a 15 day stay here while recovering from 7 day stay in hospital. We toured some local skilled nursing facilities and this one was the cleanest by far. The ENTIRE STAFF, from admin, cleaning team, nursing teams, event coordinators, PT to nutrition staff were all FIVE STAR CAREGIVERS. You see, my Dad has had a few really bad experiences w re-hab facilities and was very anxious about coming here, but he was so GRATEFUL that he did. He actually cried yesterday when he left. He was so appreciative of everyone's hard work and commitment to the patients."You can tell they LOVE their jobs here. If I have to go through re-hab ever again, please bring me here"
THANK YOU TO THE ENTIRE STAFF AT STANLY MANOR FOR BEING SO GREAT TO MY DAD! 🫂

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
What to do next
