My dad transitioned from skilled nursing to independent living at The Villages of Dallas and it has truly been a blessing. He’s not one to like being fussed over, but the staff cared for him with such quiet compassion and respect. Moving him from his home wasn’t easy, but knowing he’s safe, supported, and thriving gives me so much peace. I’m beyond grateful for the love and care they’ve shown him.

My mom is a resident at The Villages of Dallas Senior Living Community, and it has been a wonderful experience for both her and our family. The staff is professional, compassionate, and truly attentive to her needs. They treat residents with dignity and respect, which gives us great peace of mind. I highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and supportive environment for their loved one.

I normally do not write reviews if I have nothing good to say about an establishment. I have thought and thought and thought about it. I decided an establishment of this nature needs to be reviewed. This place is horrible. My MIL was here for 20 days. She has early stages of dementia and left the hospital and went here. Somewhere between the hospital and here she was given anxiety meds. It was given as scheduled and not as needed. My MIL was so out of it that we thought she was going to have to go to a nursing home. Apparently her first night there she was agitated and was up moving around all night. They had the doctor to give her something to keep her “‘out of the way”. The meds were given 3 times a day on top of her allergy meds and a night time sleep aide. She could not feed herself. Each day we arrived she was at the front trying to feed herself ( more food on her and the floor than in her stomach. We hired a caregiver to take care of her in the place that was supposed to be taking care of her. Let’s get to her roommate. I watched Miss Polk go from a sharp 90 year old woman that was able to tell me what was going on with my MIL to a lady that was asking for her mom ( whom She had told me was deceased in the beginning) Miss Polk was given a food tray and if she ate she ate. She had stomach problems which landed her there . She lived alone at 90 years old. She was a retired nurse of 39 years. She said she had never seen such lazy staff. She meant the entire staff from nurses to aides to therapist. I had to agree with her. Miss Polk had no one advocating for her. She would ring the bell and noone would come. She pooped in the bed one day and it’s because she waited for an hour. I am not exaggerating. Someone would come in and turn the bell off and say someone was coming to help her. Miss Polk was not a frail woman when I met her but before she left she was frail. She left there going to a doctors visit and the admitted her in the hospital. They NEVER bathed her. She was so humble trying to not make issues. They have a schedule for bathing but if a resident cannnot speak up for themselves they are in trouble. The older nurse who distributed medication was mean. The Hispanic young nurse that sat at the desk….RUDE!! The aide Sonya is TERRIBLE! She is nasty and rude and mean and the ring leader to the horrible team. Meals are brought out and left to get cold. Even with the understaffing I figure there could be some type of compassion from this staff. We HIRED a caregiver because we did not trust them. We did this AFTER we saw what we were dealing with. The laundry lady and the little young house keeper were the nicest. There is another aide ( light skin, heavyset with braids) she neverrrrrrrrrrr smiles. She needs a new profession. If your love one can fend for themselves try it but if they can not ( dementia, etc) don’t do it.

My grandmother came to The Villages of Dallas for rehabilitation and loved it so much that she decided to move in permanently. It’s been one of the best decisions she’s ever made. She’s safe, well cared for, and has made so many friends. I truly don’t have to worry about her, and I couldn’t ask for a cleaner or more welcoming place for her to call home.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
