My sister is/was in there with ALS. She had a machine for comminaction. The people that work there are to be friendly and helpful. THEY ARE NOT. Only 3 of the working staff is actually gentle. If she would tell them that she was hurting, they would ignore her or if there was MILK in her feeding tube. I time them on getting the door once and ot took them over 15 MINUTES.

My 91 year old alert father needed rehab for a short period and we chose The Pines. We visited often as we are an over protective, hovering family and found the staff to be very professional and friendly. They saw to his needs and answered his call light promptly. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Best of all, the facility did not have any bad odors which many long term care facilities have. The food looked appealing and according to our father was delicious. He participated in therapies and has been able to meet his goal of returning home. When I told him he was leaving, dad shared with me that he felt well cared for and that he was a priority to the staff. He acknowledged while it is not home, he would return if he ever needed care again. Thank you to the staff at The Pines on helping dad reach his goals of returning home.

About three years ago, a loved one suffered a traumatic injury, resulting in limited use of the limbs and impacted capacities in other areas. Additionally, there was an existing condition whose treatment needed to be worked into the program for recovery. After numerous evaluations and surgeries in the university hospital and a months-long stay in a post-acute hospital, the time came for placement in an environment that offered continued treatment for the traumatic injury, appropriate therapy, and careful monitoring of medications for the pre-existing condition. One facility after another declined to take on the case, until the director of Pine Manor happened to be at the post-acute hospital and heard about our loved one’s situation. In a wonderful act of courage and optimism she agreed to advocate for bringing our loved one to Pine Manor. That was a little over two years ago. We hardly dared to hope for the improvements that we have seen in our loved one’s condition. Placement in the caring and highly professional setting of Pine Manor has been a blessing for our entire family.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
