I have never been treated nicer, taken care of better, laughed harder, felt more comfortable, and been in a cleaner facility tan when I spent time with you folks! Kay, Cari, Mary, my favorite Yooper, and the entire staff were exceptional! Aces! If I ever go through this again I wouldn’t change a thing! THANK YOU ALL!
PS. Sorry I didn’t remember all the names I’m old!

I would give Lakeland Health Care Center 10 stars if I could! Our mom has been a resident for four years, and the care she receives is truly exceptional. I work with care facilities regularly in my job, and this is the only place that consistently answers the phone and responds to messages promptly. Every interaction is professional, courteous, and kind.
When our mom first arrived, she started in the rehab unit, but it quickly became clear she needed memory care. The transition was seamless, and the staff in the memory care wing have been incredible. They don’t just provide care—they show genuine compassion. You can see how much they truly care about the residents. Whether it’s an RN or CNA holding a patient’s hand as if it were their own parent’s, or offering a gentle kiss on the head, these small gestures speak volumes.
From the little things to the big things, Lakeland goes above and beyond. The love and dedication of the staff make this the best place we could ever hope for our mom.

Spent 9 days there after shoulder reconstruction. The staff was excellent at all times! Special thanks to Randy & Kim! They are a dynamic duo! I would highly recommend this place for comfort, food & surroundings. Always treated with respect and kindness.

I will admit we was hoodwinked with this facility, We had a mental disabled family member in there, couldn’t speak for himself, he was in this facility for a broken shoulder and rehab was to be given, everyday me and my wife was there checking on this family member that we was guardian over, and from July 10 until September 23 he made very little progress, very rarely besides walking him a little did we see any rehab, and when we would ask questions they would lie about things, after they got all the money they could get off him they began ringing our phone wanting him out as fast as we could take him, some CNA and a LPN was pretty good but he was worse off staying in that rehab, brought him home and had in home therapy and he is walking good and getting around fine, he is getting back to his old self, and when we went to pick him up nobody except a CNA would acknowledge us. They was big on mouth but short on ear want nobody i know ever be back there again, and if anyone thinks this is a bitter or angry post it’s not, I seen and heard everything first hand and if they said he was plateaued out they couldn’t do nothing else for him lol well if they read this he is doing very well and I give this rehab zero credit for that, and by the way I’ve literally fed slop to hogs better than the food they serve, that was pitiful and nasty.

I cannot say enough great things about this facility and the staff. Three weeks ago my mother's health took a bad turn and we found our selves at the hospital across the street (also excellent staff). A rehab/nursing facility was recommended as an intermediate step to an assisted living facility as she could not return to her home. Being from out of town and not knowing the area, I was fortunate to have been able to walk across the street from the hospital, tour the facility, and speak with their Admissions Coordinator Mary. Her compassion and effort in working quickly to get my Mother a room as she was being discharged from the hospital was simply incredible.
The facility itself is top notch. Clean, bright, and spacious with both indoor and outdoor spaces to allow someone to get out of their room if able. All the P/T and nursing staff were very attentive and kind to my mother (tears were shed on discharge as she didn't want to leave). Another stand out was their Social Worker Andrea. We were kept updated on status and she worked tremendously hard in connecting and advising our family on a good assisted living facility in the area even helping making the connection for the quick admissions that were needed.
What started as a bad situation was made easier thanks to Lakeland Health Care Center and I am truly thankful to all the staff. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone that has the need and know that your loved one will be safe and cared for.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
