Horrible communication from the administration. We were pending acceptance of a relative and they quit contacting us for over a week. No one had the decency to call with a denial and we were caught with no place to go. Told our social worker, needed too much care. It’s a nursing home, if he didn’t need care he would be home.

Definitely the worst poorly run business in Door County. I feel bad for the elderly people living the best years of their lives in this dump. Maybe one day this property could get purchased by a great company that treats their residents with dignity. But we can only pray for a better institution for our city. Please I hope the city takes action and inspects this horrible business.

This nursing facility is a disappointment to the values we, as residents hold in Door County. My mother had covid and I wasn't informed of it until I was told in a wellness meeting via phone call DAYS later when there was fear she wouldn't survive it. She has had her personal possessions stolen over the years. There has been an incident where she was struck by an employee. (Said person was thankfully terminated as to my knowledge). There are instances where she has fallen from bed. The care is just not up to my family's standards. Unfortunately the nursing home facilities in Door County are very few. It is very unfortunate that this is the best they can do to ensure the health, well being, and safety of our loved ones. I expect the best when it comes to taking care of my mother and ALL residents.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
What to do next
Data is a starting point, not a final answer. We encourage families to visit facilities in person, observe daily routines, and speak with staff and residents. See our guide: Questions to Ask When Visiting →
