The outside was very clean, when entering the facility it was a great smell(like sentiments or a nice hotel) The lady at the front desk did not acknowledge me or the transport team. There was a man that greeted the ambulance in the parking lot with a friendly hello and smile and directed the transport team on how to enter. Immediately upon making a right then a left, it smelled like soiled diapers. There are alot of rooms the facility looks bright. Upon entering the room i was assigned, the room was not as bright. The bed didn't work, the lady Donna kept insisting, I try to sit in the low bed. She was asking the transport team to look for the cord to the bed; meanwhile, I am standing (with a new hip replacement, and walker) . I asked to go to bathroom and the bathroom had a portable toilet on top of it. It was dirty, they're was no toilet seat covers available, master of fact, there was no toilet seat cover dispenser. The nurse in charge, Donna allowed me to try and clean the toilet seat with wipes that the transformer team found; not once asking to help. She said she would get housekeeping to bring me a toilet seat cover. She gave a stern warning to the lady in the bed next to where I was going to be placed, "to not move, to stay out the way" I felt so bad for the lady because#1 she talked to her through the curtain, never making a gave contact and the tone she used was very condescending. The room was very hot, which breeds germs, the one bathroom was connected to another room with 2 people. Donna tried to insist the bathroom was for only the room i was in but while sitting there (it took so long to find me a wheel chair, which Donna tried to first offer me a residents personal wheel chair to sit in, which was not ok, then pointed me to a wheel chair, which mind you im standing with a walker, fresh out the hospital from a hip replacement surgery; she didn't offer to wipe it or anything. The transport team helped wipe it down for me) I then used a sheet (that I had brought) to sit in the wheel chair. While sitting in the wheel chair, a lady from the other room connected to the bathroom went in to use the bathroom. (Mind you they said it was only for the room I would be in, us 2 ladies; obviously not true). The bathroom was not clean. I truly feel like I would have left out with some kind of disease if I would have stayed. I'm so glad, I did not have to stay, I thought I need more therapy before heading home up stairs. But you don't know how strong you are until you are out in a situation.<br>The whole time Donna is trying to convince me to stay. Saying they got another room with a bed that work and a remote, This should have been established when you accepted a patient. AT this point, I had called family to pick me up. I refused to stay in a facility that doesn't take health and policies seriously. I also heard a cna tell Donna that she couldn't help a patient purposely because the equipment wasn't working. Donna kept insisting she helped the patient. It was obvious the staff was saying it was not safe for her her or the patient without the equipment. Donna didn't seem to understand /care, not sure which one it was. I was so grateful that the transport team didn't leave me. I did dial to someone from admin who apologized and agreed on how things happened unprofessionally, that was good to know that they wanted to make sure i knew Donna was not full time staff and that they do not run their program like this typically. Hopefully that is the case because Lord knows it shouldn't be

They took fantastic care of my mom, were very communicative, showed genuine concern. The place may be a little older, but its very clean, all the staff we met were very positive. Overall, a very good experience.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
