Friend fell out of bed three times, had half her skull removed due to a brain aneurysm , only 40 years old, recovering and they still wouldn't put up side rails, said it was illegal which is not true, per health department and next 3 nursing homes had them. They took no precautions to fix the problem, lied did not monitor her at all, everytime I went to visit she was halfway off the bed. Didn't follow protocol after falls and send her to hospital until I insisted. Final fall almost killed her, social worker at hospital filed complaint and investigation insued by health department which they covered up and finally she thankfully was moved elsewhere. Nursing homes are not the greatest places but keeping the patient safe should be a priority. If your loved one is a fall risk do not put them in this place or you are at risk of them falling out of bed and they don't care at all, collateral damage to them. You have to be pretty sick to not care about causing permanent damage or death. Bad Karma

From management to CNAs, every staff member demonstrates professionalism, kindness, and dedication. Management Team: Neil, Lisa, and Cristina Garcia are attentive, hands-on, and truly care about both residents and staff. Rebecca at the front desk is always polite, helpful, and ready to assist in every way. Activities: Zarina and Mary bring joy, patience, and care to the residents, making each day brighter. Physical Therapy: The PT team is always punctual, supportive, and focused on helping residents progress safely and effectively. Laundry & Dietary: Maria from laundry is extremely trustworthy and kind. In the kitchen, Polo, Maria, and Carla consistently provide meals with care and professionalism. Nursing Staff: Saeed, Katrina, Elizabeth, and Stephan are skilled, compassionate, and professional, ensuring residents are well cared for. CNA / RNA Team: Narmin is new but excellent. Yvonne is reliable and kind. Hailu is one of the best CNAs at Somerset—professional, compassionate, and educated. Alma, CNA/RNA, is extremely kind, helpful, and always on point. She goes above and beyond, even when some people take advantage of her willingness to help. She never says no, and her heart for residents is genuine. She is a SUPER CNA/RNA and a true blessing to have in the facility. Joanna, RNA, is responsible, attentive, and very consistent. Overall: Somerset is filled with hardworking people who genuinely care. Minor issues do arise occasionally, but the staff handle them professionally and efficiently, often before they become real problems. This facility is truly a place where residents are respected, cared for, and valued. Highly recommend Somerset for anyone seeking a compassionate and professional care environment.

I’m pretty skeptical about the care at this nursing home, my grandmother has been here since June 2025 and originally she was doing pretty good, but over the months her condition has deteriorated with multiple hospital stays since then and bad pressure wounds found on her that we don’t know were properly cared for, not to mention she also contracted MRSA & C auris here. She’ll now have to be sent to an LTAC hospital because of how frail she’s become. This facility is clean and staff has been good for the most part but I would do research before sending loved ones here, especially if they’re older and have cognitive issues like my grandmother does.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
