We are really thankful for the Nurses at Eden Healthcare Center. The nurses here are very kind and always caring for my dad. You can tell they really care about the patients and not just doing a job. Anytime we had questions, Hemica the director took time to explain things and made us feel comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful and always saying hello when we come in. I am writing this to express our thanks for their hard work.

Our loved one is extremely difficult to handle. Physically and mentally he's struggling. Staff seems very caring and I think they are going to help our loved one out.

Don't do it! The nursing staff is great, but is so outnumbered by the patients that each patient is neglected for the majority of each day. My 92 yr. old father, who lived on his own until a fall, stayed at Eden for 30 days after getting out of the hospital. He was left sitting in soiled diapers 23 hrs. a day. He ended up in the emergency room, moaning loudly in pain from a severe diaper rash/infection all over his private area and genitals. It took him *weeks* to recover - in significant pain the entire time. Find another facility with a better patient to nurse ratio (I don't recall what it was, maybe 50 patients to 1 on duty care provider - whatever it was, it was *not* enough). p.s. I visited ny dad almost every day, and the smell of urine walking down the hallways was overpowering. The ambulatory residents hung out in the halls, looking lost and alone - mostly because they were. It was really sad. More than one told me my dad was lucky that he had kids who came to see him so often. This is no reflection on the nursing home, but they could have offered more programs to keep the residents engaged and socializing in the evenings. At that time there were only 2-3 short activities during the day and nothing in the evenings but TV to watch. Speaking of TV, when you have a room shared by 2 or 3 residents and one TV, entertainment can be an issue, as can noise. It can be stressful to be subjected to TV noise from the show your roommate is watching when you're not interested in it and can't get away from it. The noise factor there was pretty bad. I'm in my 50s and could barely stand a 2 hr. visit - my poor dad had to listen to his roommate's blaring TV shows from sun up until 11pm. There is a lot of room for improvement at Eden.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
