Dangerous place. My dad was sent there from the hospital for rehab/ PT. Physical therapy would barely stop by and leave because he was drowsy. He kept getting worse. Staff “lost” his phone charger and refused to replace it so they cut off his communication. The physician there prescribed him an appetite stimulant (without disclosing to the family) that worsens seizures and sure enough he was having a seizure when I visited him. No one on the staff even noticed or acknowledged that. On top of that and extremely restrictive visitation policy one of the staff came to work with Covid and my dad got sick. The nurses kept telling me that he was asymptomatic but when I visited he was coughing quite a bit and ended up hospitalized. After discharge from the hospital I insisted that he be transferred to a different facility but was getting a lot of pressure to return to the same place. They called me and tried to convince me to come back. I am glad we didn’t.

That place need to close down. The service is really really really bad. Some people try to help you in there but the The social workers they just have you wondering around they tell you they’re going to help you but they don’t do nothing . I will never take my dad back to that place and whoever has a family member in that place you should check because the nurses they have a really bad attitude some of them and some they try to help.. I had a really bad experience having my dad there🙁🙁

I have never met a more apathetic staff. My father was admitted after a month hospital stay unable to even get out of bed. His pain level was at a constant 10 most of the day. It took over a week for him to get adequate pain medication, physical therapy was spotty and after just 5 days of PT he was discharged because he had only made it out of bed once and they expected him to be walking after only 15 minutes a day of exercise a day. When I complained, he was moved to a room with a deaf person who had TV on 24 g hours a day at full volume. So that made the other patient in room tell every time he was on the phone which was often. They also moved him to the window, knowing he is photosensitive and cannot tolerate bright light or loud noise. It was absolute hell for four days with no PT, so I brought him home, although he was definitely not ready for that. However, Briar Oak made sure that my dad knows he would not be getting better then me re. They are understaffed and patients are left sitting in their own feces for over three hours. The management is so far removed, You can never speak with them. The nurses actually get angry when asked to do their job. Patients are just commodities.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
