My mom was in the care of piners for two weeks; it was extremely frustrating and sad. She was recovering from a large brain bleed and was in the process of receiving physical therapy and trying to re-learn everyday skills. She had fallen out of her wheel chair and bed multiple times while under their care. We told them she was a fall risk the first day. We filled out paper work saying she was a fall risk. Since she had fallen multiple times, piners suggested we get a sitter to stay with her in her room. They dropped her bed closer to the floor. They thought this was safer. She started to crawl out of bed and would end up on the floor, tangled in bed sheets. She started to have a head ache and feel nauseous so they gave her Tylenol and medication for nausea. She was actually having a brain bleed and was taken to the hospital a day later. If I could do it all over, I would have chosen a different facility, or brought her home.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
What to do next
Data is a starting point, not a final answer. We encourage families to visit facilities in person, observe daily routines, and speak with staff and residents. See our guide: Questions to Ask When Visiting →
