A relative of mine stayed here for a short while, and our experience was very positive. The staff has been incredibly helpful throughout her stay. Maria from Activities stands out β sheβs excellent at engaging residents and truly brings joy to the environment. The Business Office Manager, Jerine was very helpful in answering our questions and assisting with paperwork. Their Staff Developer, April was kind and very accommodating. The Administrator, Andy is especially sweet, caring, and genuinely devoted to both the staff and the patients. Itβs clear that their team cares deeply and it made a difference in my grams comfort and recovery.

My loved one received attentive medical support and made steady progress with the rehab team. The facility was clean, organized, and felt safe, which made a big difference during a challenging time. From the nurses to the therapists and activities, everyone we interacted with showed genuine kindness, patience, and professionalism. They made my loved one feel cared for and treated them with dignity every day.

This is a truly awful facility. I had my elderly mother transferred out of there as quickly as possible due to the negligence of their staff.

The place is chaotic, unsafe, and poorly staffed.

Whenever I visited, the front door attendant was absent. I walked right in without anyone checking me in. When you call, nobody answers the phone. They keep you waiting for 15-30 minutes before the front receptionist finally picks up.

I will avoid this facility at all costs. I have informed my parentsβ care team to never take them to Berkeley West.

Whatever you do STAY AWAY from this dangerous place. The workers are EVIL and negligent no matter how many times you ask them for help when youre in pain. They ignore and abuse you. They abuse family members when they speak up. This is no place for any sick or elderly person. I have fallen several times with no one to help me and they dont even put a walker next to my bed .

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data β the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
What to do next
Data is a starting point, not a final answer. We encourage families to visit facilities in person, observe daily routines, and speak with staff and residents. See our guide: Questions to Ask When Visiting β
