Filosa used to be a 5 star facility when it was privately owned. Since it was acquired by Havencare, the level of care has plummeted. Agency nurses and nurses aides have replaced a large number of the permanent staff, and a good portion of these agency personnel spend most of their time sitting at the computer or looking at their phones, rather than checking on the needs of the residents. The medical products used by Havencare seem to be lower quality than what was used by the previous owners. Although some inconvenience is to be expected, interior renovations that are currently being done have resulted in residents being kept out of their rooms for 14 hours at a stretch, which is TOTALLY unacceptable. Earlier outside renovations resulted in an almost total lack of parking for visitors for several weeks. It used to be almost impossible to get loved ones into this facility, because it used to be in such high demand. That is most certainly no longer the case.

I place my mon 16 months ago at Filosa. It was one of the biggest decisions I had to make. Living together in a two family home for 40 years. Mom had a stroke 7 year ago developed dementia things needed to change. Bought a condo moved in together. Did the best I could for as long a could. Mom 97 was not receiving from me the quality of life she is now receiving at Filosa. She is healthy safe clean and loved by all there. This is due to administration RN's aids recreation staff cooks and bravo to cleaning and maintenance. I would give Filosa 9 stars if there were 10 but nothing is perfect. Thank you for taking such good care of mom.

The staff at Filosa has provided wonderful care to my family member. Initially presenting with some difficult behaviors they individualized her plan of care and have been able to make a difficult disease less distressing. The facility is always very clean and all of the residents are well attended to.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
