I was a resident at Hancock hall using a friend's phone was here for short term rehab, the care is excellent the workers are friendly and caring. All services such as therapy social services just to name a few were very helpful consistent on top of my care. They advise me if what was going on with my care and they made me smile at all times.

I am currently in rehab at Hancock Hall. Great Physical and Occupational Therapy program. The food is very good. I used to own a restaurant and I know how hard it is to feed a lot of people. They do a great job. I have talked to some of the staff there in the kitchen and it seems like if there was room to put a steamer it would be a big help and the quality of the vegetables. They are very happy to make substitutions for whatever meal is designated and the substitutions are good. The place is quite clean. , very quiet and peaceful. I have been here twice before basically for when I was sick and had to get stronger again one time for a three month stent for heavy duty antibiotics. It’s my first choice. when I arrived here, they already had an air mattress set up and the night nurse supervisor. I think her name was Jessica put the bed rails on for me. Special attention by the PA, Margaret and Nurse Mellissa.. Too many more to name.

Stay away, as an RN, my mother was there for Rehab as well as completion of antibiotic therapy. She is 96 years old. Within 4 days, my mother's backside was open and raw, a stage 2 wound. Which I am dealing with at home. Their Physical therapy was none. I requested my mother be sent out to Danbury hospital for a full evaluation. It was noted of the wounds to her back side and front side as well. She was there for a few hours and the ER Dr. Stated my mother needed to continue the antibiotics and wrote the script. She is now home and getting back up on her<br>feet. Please don't send your love ones here. They enact orders with out the consent of family and the feeling of this place I experienced is one of apathy and no follow thru.. Beware.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
