My mother was transferred to Warren Barr after a month + in the hospital. Being bedridden for so long she needed PT to get stronger. I chose Warren Barr because it was close to my home and it's a beautiful facility. My mom did not get they PT she needed (even though they said she did). And when we would ring the nurse bell, no one would come and I'd have to search for someone to help. When she was released, she fell and broke her arm. On to a new rehab place. Word to the wise, make sure they're really doing what they say they are. Just because it's pretty looking doesn't mean people are getting the best care. And ask you doctor about a good place. When I told my mom's doctor she was in Warren Barr he said "oh no" wish I would have known ahead of time.

If you are looking for a facility that provides excellent: A. Short term nursing and rehabilitation care, B. Long term care, or C. Memory Care, that also offers in-house Peritoneal Dialysis to their residents, and Specialized Wound Care, I can only offer the highest praise for Warren Barr Buffalo Grove. I have just spent 2 months there with a non weight bearing broken leg, and the whole experience has been amazing. From Day 1, meeting Jasmin, the Director of Admissions, Melissa, the Administrator, and Maria, the Director of Nursing, through the last day working with Alisa, the Social Services Director, they made me feel like a VIP. And I’ve noticed that is exactly how they treat everybody. I can not begin to name all the people that helped me with such great attitudes and care since there are too many to mention. There are some that I just have to mention that just doing there job was a blessing for me. CNA’s: JJ, Juliana, Emily, Carla, Jackie, Maria, Ashlynn, Martin, Sandi, Dalisha, Ava, Rita, Ashley, and Joanna just to name a few. Nurses: Vasi, Teresa, Angelina, Sher, Lana, Myriam, Evalina, Felicia, Amber, Melissa, and Renata could not have been more caring and professional. My PT and OT experiences were also awesome, being scheduled mostly with Margaret and Kate. There is a social schedule for all residents from bingo and blackjack to occasional karaoke and scheduled entertainment. The holiday parties were also fabulous. I have had experience at at least 6 other facilities in the North Shore, between my parents and my sister, this was my first experience as the patient and I couldn’t feel any better about my experience. This Legacy facility, Warren Barr Buffalo Grove, sets the bar for all the facilities in Chicagoland. No other care facility comes close.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the service I received at Warren Barr. The aides and nurses, CNA and also administration persons were very helpful and I enjoyed working with them all. The one negative exception was that some of the people felt that their duty to you was more important than anything else. Therefore I should stop doing what I was doing and address myself to what they want me to do. But I would highly recommend Warren Barr to all. I certainly enjoyed playing Bingo and blackjack and the entertainment that was performed was very good and entertaining.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
