  I would put my family here again in a heartbeat!<br><br>My 84YO father came to Good Sam Ambassador/New Hope in 10/2024 for transitional care after a hospitalization, then was moved to another wing for skilled nursing and maintenance of his multiple medical issues; he was there a total of 6 months, passing on 4/20/25.<br><br>Let's face it: Nobody wants to die in a nursing home, but for some complex medical cases, that is the best way for the patient and their family to manage care. Social workers, nurse management, nurses, CMAs, therapists, activities staff housekeeping, front desk - everyone treated my dad (and me) like family. Too many wonderful people to drop names here, seriously!<br><br>Nothing fancy about this place, which suited Dad just fine. He had a private room that we decorated with artwork from home and family photos, and a big picture window so he could watch the birds outside. Dad was not a super social guy so I can't tell you much about the activities but they were always full of people.<br><br>The Geriatric Medicine team from Park Nicollet/HealthPartners, local wound care providers, and eventual Methodist Hospice Program staff and nurses all worked in tandem with on-site staff seamlessly to ensure Dad's last months and days were comfortable and spent like they would have been at home - except he had 24/7 care by an amazing team so I could just be his daughter at his side for this final journey.<br><br>After my dad passed, in the early weeks of his absence, I received a wooden box in the mail filled with notes from many of the staff, kind and compassionate words from those who knew and loved him too. Such a sweet and unexpected gift after his loss.<br><br>I am grateful every day that Good Samaritan Society - Ambassasor took such excellent care of my dad, and me!<br><br>p.s. I know I've not been back to visit, grief is hard. Nothing but love to y'all.<3

  They have the cutest birds inside and fish. Love visiting them. I also think it is really cool that they allow residents to have bird feeders outside too. From my brief visits, I have seen residents playing bingo several times, and one time they were having a happy hour for the residents there (I think it was fruit cups or some dessert?). I hear the food isn't that great or is sometimes cold. People in rehab get to shower twice a week as well. Yeah, I am just a visitor.

  "Family" best describes Good Samaritan Ambassador.<br>My Mother spent 4 years with the trustworthy, respectable, kind, caring, loving staff at Good Samaritan Ambassador New Hope. I only take the time to write positive reviews and I am writing this hoping whoever reads it is looking for the finest care available in nursing care.<br>My mother was treated well by everyone at her home at Good Samaritan. It did not matter the rank or title of the staff; they were all awesome caregivers.<br>Mom's final morning at Good Samaritan was remarkable and yet typical of the quality of care she received. The entire facility was involved in my mother's dignity walk, which was her final pass through the hallways of her home to her next chapter. The staff and residents lined the hallway as mom passed through and it was a very emotional time for all.<br>Thank you, Good Samaritan Ambassador, I am so glad we crossed paths, and my family is so thankful for you and the amazing staff in this care facility.<br>Rick S.
