There were some confusing and inconsistent details in my planned move to Woodbury. Kathleen got every detail straightened out - she's a LIFESAVER!! Demonstrates Saint Therese's motto to the max!

My grandmother stayed at Saint Therese of Woodbury in the TCU for about a month and a half, and overall, we had a very positive experience. The facility is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. The staff were kind, caring, and genuinely attentive to the residents' needs. You can tell many of them really care about the people they’re helping. Were there a few hiccups along the way? Yes—but no place is perfect. Some things my grandmother didn’t initially bring up because she didn’t want to “bother” the staff. We reminded her that the staff aren’t mind readers and are more than happy to help if you just ask—whether that’s requesting a lunch swap or needing extra assistance. One concern we ran into involved her diabetes management. For the first week, her blood sugar wasn’t being checked and she wasn’t getting insulin. We’re unsure if that was due to miscommunication between the hospital and Saint Therese, but once we found out, we raised the issue with the social worker. From that point on, her levels were checked daily and she received proper care. It was a frustrating situation, but once brought to their attention, it was resolved quickly. Like any facility, you could tell some staff were more engaged than others, but overall, everyone was helpful and respectful. Occasionally her meals would arrive late or not as warm as expected, and a few days it seemed like they might’ve been short-staffed. That said, once we shared our concerns with leadership—regarding cold food and a static issue with her room phone—they were responsive and took care of everything promptly. The physical therapists and nurses were especially fantastic. They played a huge role in her recovery, and we’re grateful for their support. Despite a few bumps in the road, we were happy with the care she received, and we’d recommend Saint Therese to others looking for a compassionate, clean, and supportive environment for their loved ones. *******UPDATE (Aug 2025)******* My grandma had to return to Transitional Care for a short two-week stay, and the experience was amazing. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. She didn't like her room so we asked if she could switch rooms, and the social worker kindly said yes once something opened up — a few days later, they made it happen. She was so happy that the staff still remembered her (even though she had only been gone a few days — haha). She loved the food, especially the mac and cheese, and really enjoyed all the activities like bingo, volleyball-style exercises, and chatting with other residents. She/we really enjoyed the staff. Everyone is so friendly, warm, and caring. Our first experience was great (a 4.7), but this time it was an easy 5 out of 5. Thank you again to the entire team at Saint Therese for making her feel so welcomed and cared for!

I treated at St. Theresa’s transitional unit for approximately one month. I have nothing but positive things to say about their physical therapy department. They were so kind and compassionate while helping me reach my goals. It was a great experience I recommend to anyone. Special thanks to Sue, Mara and Sylvia amongst the great therapists. I hope St Theresa recognizes them for their professional work.

Such caring, kind and thoughtful angels at this facility. My parents have been here since 2016 and there’s no other place that we or they would rather be! Facility is appointed beautifully. The staff truly loves and cares for the residents . The parents have lived in all facets of the facility from independent living, assisted-living, and now into long-term care. Great staff, great facility and good management to work with!

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
