Clean and Secure environment. Helpful Administrators and they keep me informed of my Family Member's health issues, accidents and medical needs. They also family-friendly, invited us to participate in their care plan for our family member.

I’m a retired psychologist for cancer patients and done it for 25 years between 1997-2022 I’m also a mandated reporter. My stay at highland was the worse out of all the places I’ve been in. I came in with minimal injuries and came out worse than when I entered. The abuse neglect and torture on a daily basis is how slot of patients leave with a medical examiner. I know I was almost a statistic I D ont have to look at the footage I took from highland the memory remains. All I have to do is look at the scars I acquired at highland and the memories come back to haunt me no medical care because the staff isn’t licensed or qualified to do to he job. No food. The footage speaks for itself. Don’t try informing the administration they give you the run around. Nobody cared or wants to hear it they know damn well who they’re bad apples are but they chose to keep them on staff don’t ask for medication you get sent to an emergency room for a psych evaluation and the emergency room sends you right back. It’s warring the insurance and harassing the patient. Certain patients are going thru a revolving door every night a visit to the emergency room for punishment only. The patient has no say as nd they are punished by sending them into one psych ward to another and their is absolutely no excuse for the facility behavior other than they want to clean out the patient room and take their valuables. After someone expires and the family retrieving the belongings the family notices there’s items missing and highlands excuse patient never had it because it’s in ostrecher picket already. I don’t make a statement unless I have proof. The footage doesn’t lie. I can’t alter what the camera picked up

While the nurses were preparing my cousin for an outing to her daughter’s wedding, another cousin and I were waiting in the lounge. There was a woman who was brought in and was placed by the window. A few minutes later she was crying and when I asked what the problem was, she noted she was cold. I asked one of the nurses if they could bring her a blanket or sweater and they brought it right away. Both my parents spent time in nursing homes and the nurses aren’t always as attentive and instead of saying “she is always complaining” as has been said to me, they listened and acted. They also helped get my cousin ready early so that we could take her out as previously requested with without attitude or complaints. Thanks for the positive attitudes. Not something that is easily found at some centers. My cousins mother is also in the home for rehab but they still put them in adjoining rooms although her daughter is there for long term. When my mother was in a rehab nursing center previously, they had rehab patients on a different floor so I appreciated the accommodations they made for the family.

My dad is 90 will be turning 91 in 7 days. Fell and broke his hip and is just about to start his rehabilitation journey. Every staff member that I have met has been wonderful to my brother and myself and my father is made to feel well looked after and comfortable and he is only there 2 days. We r all very pleased thus far and it helps take the worry away when we can't be there. My brother and I feel he is in great hands 👌 ty to all the staff at highland care

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
