I was not please how CNAs and nurses treated my grandma while she was there on the unit she was on. It was a bad experience for us, during that time she was skipped for meals (no one would help nor encourage her), left to sit in the wheelchair seemed all day long.

I demanded the social worker to move her to a different unit. It was a little better but when hospice was involved everyone turned cold on me and my family..I am the one that knew my grandmother so well that I knew this choice was the best thing I could do to help my grandma, the state she was in she would have not appericated for living. I had to respect her wishes.

She was on hospice for ONLY 3 days, and passed Sept 13th.
If I had a choice, I would have not sent my grandma to this facility but it was the only place open at the time.

My mother was only here for 13 days and it was a bad experience for us, during that time she was skipped for meals, left to sit in the wheelchair for hours, took 22 min. for a call light to be answered. I had to call daily to get issues taken care of. The reason mom was only there for 13 days was because she ended up back in the hospital. Hopefully we can find a better place to meet our needs.

Some of the CNA's are not very welcoming, which changes the whole vibe. A lot of gossiping and bad attitudes. There was not a administrator or DON when I was there.

It's a bad experience for my 90 yr old mom Bernice who came to St. Vincent's from Sanford with a fractured spine. She was sent here because she needs help with everything and isn't supposed to walk without assistance, yet even when putting the call button on, no one comes to help her get to the bathroom, not once all day. She barely made it herself, dangerously using a walker. When you tell the staff that's unacceptable they bark back and always have an excuse. The first night they stuck her in a freezing room with only a thin blanket, not even a water cup in the room and no assistance. She drank from the faucet. Her words to me "If I have to stay in here I'm going to die in here tonight. I'm calling the cops I have to get out." The staff has a snarky attitude and lack of compassion. They make you the problem, are unprofessional and difficult to get on the phone. If you do talk to them, they tell you what they think you want to hear and then ignore it. They may pop in and say hi but little has been done so far to actually help mom or get started on rehab so she can get out of there. I see why they have a two star rating - it should be zero. Our goal is to get her out asap but she has to rehab first so she can get up and walk to her walker which ironically she is doing anyway without their help. And forget about a hot meal, it arrives ice cold. This is supposed to be a skilled nursing center, but is severely lacking from our experience. Since her arrival it's been non stop concern trying to get her the help she needs to get back home to Touchmark. We hope your experience is better - Good Luck!

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
