My father was in rehab here and it was a horrible experience. The people that work there don’t really care about the residents. My father was supposed to be transported to dialysis two times a week and they messed up not one but two Saturdays in a row not sending him with the lift he needed to get into the chair for dialysis. The dialysis place was only 10 minutes away From Newcastle, so you think they would go back and get what they needed so he could get the medical care that was required. But instead, they let him sit there for hours until they could swing back and bring him back to their facility without having had dialysis. The fact that this happened a second Saturday in a row was completely unacceptable. Not only were we not able to get a baseline for two days a week dialysis, my father needed to step up and be on three times a week dialysis now. Thank goodness, we found a place in Oak Creek that actually cares about its residents. They are personable and treat residents there like people.

I recently spent a week at my mother's home at Newcastle Place (IL). As in past visits, Marion, who works at the front desk was pleasant, responsive and informative. She rebooted my mom's television and put in a work order for a new cable box for her second bedroom. We were very appreciative of her immediate response. Rick, in maintenance, was wonderfully efficient at resolving plumbing issues within the apartment. Keith, in Food Services, was attentive to the needs of diners. Additionally, he actively sought feedback regarding the food, the service, and the dining experience. The main dining room food was excellent and served at the perfect temperature. The dining staff worked expediently despite being noticeably understaffed. I look forward to my next visit to Newcastle, a welcoming home where camaraderie is shared throughout the community.

I recently was admitted to Newcastle rehab following major back surgery. It started with a nurse and 2 aides arguing over who would have to take care of me because they already felt overworked. They took me to my room and I did not see a medical person for two hours. I asked 4-5 workers throughout the night for my pain medications and was told that they would look into it. I finally got them 15 hours after arriving! The morning nurse told me that my requests for pain medication had never been charted. I needed the help of at least 2 people to get me to the bathroom. They only had 1 on staff at night. I asked him to help lift my leg into bed. He did and then let them drop. This sent pain shooting up my back. I signed myself out before any damage was caused to the work my surgeon did. It was one of the worse and most traumatic experiences of my life. Please provide a number I can call to discuss my experience

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
