St. John's is the best! As a family member of a 9 year independent living Mom, it gives me great joy every time I come to St John's on the Lake!<br>Not only is her apartment decorated and perfectly suited for her, she can feel safe & secure living there. Staff is wonderful, kind and accommodating. Both Taylors and the Prospect Grill offer delicious choices, unique recipes, and wonderful service.<br>There are such an abundance of opportunities for things to do and take part in... nobody sits around like a bump on a log. But, if you want your alone time to regenerate, read a book or just take a nap, it's all up to you. Find your peace, joy and fulfillment at St John's on the Lake. One thing I wish I'd known about St. John's before my mother moved in here is how badly they serve residents who need help with daily living tasks, especially those in assisted living or memory care. They massively overcharge for these services compared to other facilities and the quality is disappointing. Definitely do not pick St. John's if you or your loved one go in needing help with daily tasks, and be very cautious if that is something that might happen down the line. They will absolutely kick you out if you don't want to pay their exorbitant rates. This is not a good place to age in place unless you are rich.<br><br>I'm adding an edit to this review to respond to the reply from St. John's, which I feel is disingenuous. St. John's was fully aware of what they were doing to my mother; it was not a case of negligence. I repeatedly appealed to them to change their decisions and was rejected without receiving a coherent explanation for their decisions. I also feel that their offer in their reply to this comment to try to correct this situation was not in good faith. They claimed to want to help rectify the situation, but did not indicate who I should contact or how to reach them in order to do so.
