They don't do any paperwork for families. We ended up requesting a transfer out so not doing paperwork shows they see patients as profit! They don't keep an eye on patients urine even if it's brown and smells causing patients to go sepsis. The hospital even said get her out as they SUCK! I don't understand how these ratings are top notch. Our whole journey the community, the hospital, etc saying run the other way! PT is whenever they feel good to do it. Lunch is whenever we feel like serving it. (I was asked if I would feed my grandmother, of course... It came when I had to go home 230pm. I did stay to feed her but I was irate that lunch comes whenever) Upon return from IV antibiotics they let her get dehydrated again. She's blind and needs assistance with things. She lost 60lbs in the 6 weeks she was there. My family is large so there was constant rotation of us seeing something or hearing different things, etc. Sending her to Plymouth was the best thing that's ever happened. In two weeks time, she looked clean, happy, and healthier since her stroke. She still has a steady check in especially with family that works there too. I will gladly like to hear one good story on this morningside place. I've heard stories as new as mine to as old as me. Nothing good. Your mother, grandmother, aunty, etc is $$$$ to them.

My father had a stroke, went to rehab and fell in the rehab facility, fracturing his hip. He had been living four hours away from me. For post-operative rehab, he had to be closer so I would be able to help him. A friend's mother had been at Morningside and she was happy with the care provided. My mother was at a different North Shore Health Care facility and the care was excellent. Although I did not tour the facility prior to admission, my decision was good one.

The building itself has deferred maintenance and needs an update. However, the staff are outstanding. The director of nursing is smart and a strong leader. Licensed staff are experienced, kind, and knowledgeable. CNAs are experienced and kind. Staff work together well. My father was a chef so it was a given he would hate the food; however, he is eating it and complaints have been minimal. The food smells good and looks appetizing. Staff respect my father's belongings. Nothing has been lost or ruined. The facility has transportation for resident medical appointments. It's convenient for me because it means I don't have to call a separate transport service. Occupational, physical and occupational therapies are contracted. I had a minor issue with lack of communication from therapists and it was quickly resolved. My father's discharge plan is assisted living. If that plan would change, I would be comfortable having my father reside at Morningside.

I have a relative there for a few days for physical therapy, but she says she expected more than what she's getting. Why?

Staff is very responsive to our family needs and very friendly and welcoming. Have had experience with several nursing homes over the last 4 years and this was by far our best experience.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
