The conditions in this facility are unacceptable. The building has a strong odor, appears extremely outdated, and has not been renovated in decades. I understand that many residents are sick and elderly, but that should never mean they are expected to live in filth.

My father is in hospice and his room is small, cluttered, and dirty. This is supposed to be a place of comfort in his final days, and the environment is not dignified.

I do want to note that most of the nurses and CNAs have been kind and helpful. However, the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the facility needs immediate attention.

A nightmare experience. I spent three weeks at Allen after extensive spine fusion. Either no one knew what they were doing or they were cruel, neglectful, or disrespectful.

I wouldn’t put my worse enemy there! I saw many people screaming for help and was totally ignored! My brother was freezing for hour’s without any cover on the bed. This is a do not lift facility, he laid in bed for months! Also had a bad rash from head to toe, screaming in pain. They never called me to tell me about his condition. When he left there, he had a balance of $76.00 that they never returned!
I saw many people calling for help and being ignored!

My dad spent the last few months at Allen and we can honestly say that they were the most caring people. All of the staff from reception, activities, social services, skilled Care nursing and assistance , cafeteria, laundry services, maintenance and housekeeping were so helpful. If it were possible to name every single employee, I came in contact with I would. Their care for the residents placed in their care was truly heartwarming. Their smiles as well as their interest in our entire family was something that will always mean so much to us. The only thing in full transparency that I could find that would need improvement would be the budget seemed lacking however, I was impressed with the spirit present as I walked the corridors visiting with the wonderful people there. I personally think each and everyone of you. Becky Peck

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
