This place sucks!! I would rather go too Truckee for my healthcare!

This entire facility can't seem to figure out how to update chart information to save their lives. EVERY single appointment or contact I have with them is a constant battle about releases and insurance information, even though I've provided appropriate signatures and updated info every time I talk with someone, it never seems to actually get saved. Making things extremely difficult with every contact... On top of the billing department sending bills after visits even though I pay in full same day. I then have to fight with them and provide proof that I paid every single time. The disorganization is unreal at this place.

The long term care facilities in both portola and loyalton our in dire need of a better supervisor. Lorraine (D.O.N) is well known throughout the county as a harsh and Nasty individual. She is very unprofessional and because of her unprofessionalism and lack of leadership skills, I would never recommend a local to allow their family memeber to be placed in this facility for long term care. Speaking from personal experience and years of interaction, your better off taking your elderly to the swamps of Louisiana and hope for better care there.

I came in for an emergency here and everyone from the woman working at the front desk, the cna, nurses, and lab technician I worked with were absolutely wonderful. They even put up with my moodiness like it was nothing when I first came in lol. My care was very thural, and my direction of what to do next and where to go to seek follow up care was easy to understand. I highly recommend this hospital and it's incredible team of people working here. Thank you all again.

If this hospital has a real emergency situation, they will care flight you to a real hospital in Reno Nevada . They can not handle much of anything in this hospital, if there were a zero rating, that is what I would give it!!

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
