  My 90 years old mother in-law admitted here a month ago. I have no saying about the long term care, but for short term care, it's an excellent place. The service she received is outstanding. Nurses like Tiffany, Annie, plus others are friendly and helpful. For admission, I need to thank Elizabeth Cruz. She is professional, knowledgeable, and went out her way helping my mother in-law to be admitted into this nursing home. I saw quite a few 1 and 2 stars with the same complaints that the service is not as good (My response - you are NOT in La Jolla nor Beverly Hills nursing home), and hard to see a Doctor there (My response - you are in a nursing home, NOT a hospital).

  False advertisement on their website under the (FAQ tab) they state that they do not have set visiting hours ; as long as you do not disturb your roommates they welcome all family and friends. Come to find out they do have visiting hours and whether it is a family or friend they will remove them from the building by no later than 10pm . If you have a girlfriend or a wife, forget about them being able to stay with you overnight. I chose this facility based on the reviews given to me by the hospital staff at Scripps Mercy Hospital and I am beyond disappointed. Also, the food I would not feed to any four legged creature let alone a human being. If you do not like the hot food prepared which is basically, the same for every resident they offer tuna and or turkey sandwiches. Some of the nursing staff are very helpful and kind. Most empathize with the patient’s over their predicament and hardships, they’re going through while staying in a facility away from their family. I believe it’s lack of empathy from the management staff that are not willing to understand and compromise with patient needs. As a combat veteran who was recently in motorcycle accident at no fault of my own. And fighting to retain control of two of my limbs, I would not recommend this facility to anyone. To make matters worse, I’ve only been here three days and in those three days, all of my complaints have been echoed by multiple different residents who feel the same way, but unfortunately do not have the courage to speak out and the ones who have were ignored. I’ve spoken to my current roommate, who is a veteran as well about my wife visiting and he welcomes the extra support for both of us day and night. Especially since both of us have limited mobility and the staff who is overworked and outnumbered. It takes a long time for them to respond to a call for help, which is only indicated by a light being turned on, which is located over the front of your door. To add icing on the cake: My roommate actually became good friends with my wife during this short amount of time, that he has begun referring to my wife as his sister.

  My friend has been here for several days and I can’t get him out of here soon enough. There are a few people that care but the insensitivity and lack of care is abhorrent. He can call and no one comes for 25 minutes, the food I wouldn’t give to my dog. The particular care he needed he wasn’t given. I feel so bad for him That he was subjected to being here.
