This place is top notch. From the nursing staff to therapy all the way to administration. The people here are so positive and you can tell the staff truly like working here. Even though it’s winter, you can still enjoy a beautiful view of the ocean and nyc skyline. It’s a wonderful place to be!

Waterview is a beautiful facility. The caring staff go above and beyond for each resident. The nursing staff is spectacular. The therapy staff is great and they really try to make the resident become very independent. The upkeeping is great and it always smells fresh here. Administration always solved issues in a timely manner and you never have to wait long for anything.

My grandmother was in this facility until December 2025. Just in case they try to say they dont recognize my name or the situation of the patient she was in room 207B at the end of her stay there to help refresh their memory. The place seemed nice at first, but then the reality started to set in. On not one, not 2, but 3 separate occasions my grandmother had random patients coming into her room trying to take her things (food, stuffed animal, etc.). She had to fight one off while screaming for help at which point no one came for quite some time. She couldn't reach her call bell half the time because the staff would put it far away OR she was told it "wasnt working". Multiple times she had to call myself of my mother because they didnt give her her medication or come when she rang the call bell on the off chance it was actually working. Another incident occurred where something fell from her bed and she tried to reach over to get it at which point she fell halfway off the bed, but the call button wasnt accessible for her to get help. She said she also saw a nurse walk by and ignore the fact that she was hanging off the bed l. The majority of the staff is rude with the exception of a few who you could really tell loved the patients (I am forever grateful to those she talked about everyday and showed kindness to her). They had guaranteed she would have her pain medication and then proceeded to not give them to her for two days because they "didnt have the orders" then only addressed it when I brought it to their attention. They lost her shoes and had to buy her new ones. She was suffocating from the heat pumping into the room and the nurse almost fought my mother for trying to crack the window open to get air...I mean the list goes on and on at this point. If youre younger and going there in order to recover after surgery then im sure this place is great given its clean, fresh design they were building while she was there....but would absolutely avoid if youre sending an elderly patient there. ESPECIALLY one who cannot speak for themselves! My grandmother witnessed her first roommate who had severe dementia be treated poorly and verbally abused by workers there when she soiled herself at night- needless to say she told the woman's daughter and that patient was taken out of the facility the next day. Im sure they will respond with some generic answer because in reading their reviews it seems to be their MO...but in reality they need to revise their staff and take a hard look at their operations systems. I hope for the sake of their patients they change.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
