I am writing this as a deeply concerned family member. My family was admitted to the 3rd floor, and what I witnessed broke my heart. Residents are forced to sleep sitting upright in wheelchairs, not even recliners. This is supposed to be a rehab facility, yet there is no regard for how vital proper sleep is for healing and recovery. What makes this even more upsetting is that this is a 5-star facility. For a facility rated that highly to not understand the importance of proper sleep is ridiculous. Even younger, healthy people cannot sleep properly sitting upright in a wheelchair, yet these residents are expected to endure this all night and then spend the entire day sitting in the very same wheelchair. Many residents’ feet were visibly swollen from spending the entire night sitting up. I could not stop thinking about how much pain their backs, legs, and bodies must be in. These are human beings, not objects to be parked and forgotten. When I asked why they were not allowed to sleep in beds, I was told it was because they are considered a fall risk. That answer was devastating. Instead of finding safer, compassionate solutions, such as supervision or sitter on rooms or proper monitoring, these residents are deprived of one of the most basic human needs: rest. What made this even harder to witness was the environment. One nurse, who appears to be in a senior role, constantly yells and can be heard throughout the hallway. The loud, harsh tone adds stress to an already vulnerable population. I left feeling helpless and heartbroken for the residents who have no voice. No one deserves to spend their nights sitting upright in pain. This facility needs to do better, for the dignity, comfort, and humanity of the people in their care.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for Yelena Nektalova, the nurse who cares for my mother-in-law at this nursing home. Yelena is incredibly kind, patient, and compassionate. She always makes sure my mother-in-law gets the help she needs and treats her with dignity and respect. Knowing my mother-in-law is in such caring and attentive hands gives our family great peace of mind. She is truly an asset to this facility.

My uncle was here for short term rehab and the care he received was fantastic! Staff is super kind and you can tell they are extremely knowledgeable. The rooms were always clean and there was no smell on the floor. There were a lot of activity programs planned throughout the week and they even had free barber services! But most importantly their rehab was spectacular and the social work team made bringing my uncle home super easy.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
