They took care of my father Fairchild Hall was fine. However, during a meeting to discuss a permanent move to Gate Hall the head nursing kind of threatened if move was not made now. Later the would not be spot in nursing home skill unit. That the first problem our family had them but not the last. I work in nursing home and home care for 21 years. Force a move to skill nursing possible early then need is not good policy. However, I did view as a threat they did not make move he would have leave. During his stay at Gate Hall one staff broke his false teeth plate. The staff claim my sister took it home with her. My dad had new set made but did thing they fit right and hurt his jaw. In 2022 years later he pass away at 91 year young. My sister found those lost teeth in boxes ๐ฆ of his stuff the home pack up. Note she search his room for years never found them. Veteran Home claim she took them. He cried for year for sister to get them teeth fix.The teeth in none of draws or in room, but pack in box after he pass away by nursing home that claim she took them home. There are few more issues but I made my point of one star rating. My dad had no teeth to eat favor snack popcorn because they lie about sister take them home. The teeth where at nursing home the whole time.<br>I'm not sure, Michelle, it's still in charge, but she should be fired. I work with michelle on nursing staff at a neural rehab in Waterford. She was a mediocre RN nurse at best. She responsible for hire the horrible staff with few exceptions. I guess Michelle is Mediocre in her current position if still there at Union Grove. The leader responsible all problem at Union Grove Veterans Home. Again I work in nursing for 21 years.

This place is no good some of them are just interested in their paycheck!!!!!!!My Dad was placed in the hospital for sepsis in April 29, 2022 and he was discharged from Burlington Hospital Aurora and put back in there May 23, 2022 and he shouldn't have been. This place was not taking care of my Dad properly doctor said not being cleaned properly and not receiving optimal care. He is in the hospital again less than a month later. I am so hurt by this. I love my Dad he's fighting for his life now.

Food for the member is not cooked on site. It is brought in from the King Va which is about 2 hour away from Union Grove. Once a day. So it sits from the time it is cooked at the King Va to the time each meal is served. I think that is just awful and took my Dad back home to care for him at my house. Also they tell you there employees have worked there for years, again not on the sfloor we were on.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data โ the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
