Don’t go here if you have a broken ankle because they’ll keep telling you it’s not broken even after weeks and weeks of you going back complaining of severe pain. “Take aleve or get orthotics” was my doctor’s recommendation. 8 months later I need surgery because oh wait it was broken all along!! How do you miss a broken foot and let me walk on it for 4 months…now 8 months. I kept saying something was wrong and you didn’t listen to me!!!

It's really a shame - and I have seen this across many industries. The *people* at this hospital are amazing - nurses, doctors, everyone. But the systems (aka management) put in place are horrific. Want to see your doctor? Good luck. Need a prescription refilled? Good luck. True story: frustrated by the labyrinthine phone system I actually went to my doctor's office - I could *see* him walking back and forth behind the reception desk - and I was told to go home and use the internet or phone to make an appointment - it was impossible for them to do so. I did that and was transferred into the interminable phone system and no dice. Yes, it's that bad. Healthcare in America is a disaster - we all know that - and Martha's Vineyard Hospital has the proud distinction of being at the forefront of that debacle.

I’m so grateful for the excellent care my family and I consistently receive at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. The staff is professional, kind, and always goes above and beyond.

I recently visited MV Hospital after experiencing sudden chest pain, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff moved quickly, treated me with care, and kept me informed every step of the way. The nurses were incredibly kind and attentive, checking on me often and explaining what each test and procedure meant. The doctors were professional, thorough, and reassuring — I truly felt I was in expert hands. The facility itself was clean, organized, and calm. Thankfully, everything turned out fine, but I left feeling very grateful for the quality of care I received. I highly recommend MV Hospital to anyone needing emergency care. They turned a scary situation into one where I felt supported, respected, and genuinely cared for.

Единственный госпиталь на острове. Все четко и спокойно. Врач, к которой обратились после укуса клеща, оказалась внимательной и профессиональной.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
