I recently had the experience of having my mom in this facility for a period of a little over 2 months, after a serious stroke she suffered. While Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) are never a pleasant experience, I can say without a doubt that the staff at LoC were exceptional. And I mean that from top to bottom - the CNA’s, the nurses, the doctor, the therapists (physical, speech and OT), the business manager, the social worker (special shout out to Samantha!), and even the housekeeping person, who was always friendly and went out of her way to say ‘Hello’ every time she saw me in the hall. They were very attentive to my mom’s needs, but equally important, they were attentive to my needs (which was primarily for information on her recovery process so that I could make informed decisions on where she might go upon discharge). Eventually when insurance coverage was denied they helped through the medicare appeals process (which was approved both times I appealed). Overall, while it was under tremendously stressful circumstances for me, I could not have been more pleased and appreciative of all of the staff at Laurels of Chatham.

This is the best facility! The staff at Laurels were excellent and caring in taking good care of my mother! I can't thank the staff enough. I want to give a special thanks to Shauna The Unit Manager and Nurse who took care of my mother Mildred and Monica The Physical Therapist who made it possible for my mother to walk again! God Bless You All!

I came to the laurels for rehab after a hospital stay. I was treated with kindness , respect and care. Everybody kept good track of my medical condition and the rehab was very good.

I had a wonderful two weeks stay in rehab. PT, OT, and all the staff were wonderful! Even the food was good. They frequently asked if I needed anything. Nice gesture.

My dad recently required skilled nursing rehab after a hospital stay. I quickly learned after he arrived at The Laurels that they are staffed with kind, knowledgeable and caring individuals. The nurses, CNAs, and rehab staff, as well as the administrative support staff and all behind the scenes staff proved to be committed to providing the best care for their residents. It was easy to get questions answered and concerns addressed if the need arose. The rehab staff was great and always encouraged my dad. He was soon motivated and looked forward to working in the rehab room with other residents. We are grateful for the care he received at The Laurels of Chatham.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
