It’s difficult not to notice multiple BRAND NEW Google accounts with only one review suddenly posting 5-star reviews at the same time serious concerns about this facility have surfaced on Facebook, including videos showing mice in the hallways and mice poop. I highly encourage anyone who has a loved one in this facility to search for that post on Facebook as it is not hard to find if you search for this facility. My grandmother was a resident here. During her stay she experienced repeated UTIs and developed bed sores. My family repeatedly raised concerns with multiple people including all of the directors who were in and out of this facility and Genesis COO Paul. She was eventually hospitalized and diagnosed with sepsis stemming from a UTI and passed away seven days later. The attached photos are from inside the facility during that time. These photos, along with the photos currently being posted on Facebook by others, are the true definition of what Genesis/Marmet Center allows to continue.

My Mom has been at Marmet Center for almost three years and while we have had a few issues, I have developed a relationship with the nursing and administrative staff and have been able to go to them about anything I feel is amiss and it is dealt with. She is well taken care of, has made friends that she has coffee with every morning and I am there multiple times a week to see her. However, the most important thing is, my Mom is happy there considering this was not part of the plan!

Marmet center has a wonderful, compassionate, hard working team that ensures all the residents are provided with high quality care! The teamwork between each nurse, CNA, housekeeper, laundry staff, maintenance, dietary staff, administration is incredible. I can’t say enough good things about this facility! My mother was there for a little while before she passed away & I can’t thank the staff enough for the care that was provided and always being so thoughtful & caring.

About this data
How to read this page
Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.
Where this data comes from
All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
What to do next
Data is a starting point, not a final answer. We encourage families to visit facilities in person, observe daily routines, and speak with staff and residents. See our guide: Questions to Ask When Visiting →
